Description

NeilMed® NäsaKleen Squeezie® Nasal Rinsing System

Unique Drug-Free Nasal Rinsing System

What is NäsaKleen Squeezie®?

NäsaKleen Squeezie® is a squeezable silicone nasal rinsing system which allows you to deliver saline solution with positive pressure to clean the nasal passages thoroughly, while maintaining your head in an upright position. You have complete control of the pressure and volume of solution, ensuring a gentle, soothing and therapeutic nasal rinsing experience.

Squeezie can be used to cleanse and relieve nasal passages affected by:

  • Nasal allergies, dryness and hay fever
  • Sinus pressure and nasal stuffiness
  • Nasal symptoms from cold, flu, and sinusitis
  • Post-nasal drip and nasal congestion
  • Nasal irritation from occupational and house dust, fumes, dander, grass pollen, smoke, etc.
  • Saline nasal irrigation, moisturization, and daily nasal hygiene
  • For use after sinus surgery and for sinus symptoms suffered by cystic fibrosis patients

How is NäsaKleen Squeezie® Unique?

Squeezie is made of a super flexible material for “single-squeeze” action with minimal pressure required. Its grip friendly design ensures proper positioning of head and neck to achieve great rinsing results. Squeezie is easy to clean to prevent bacterial buildup.

The soft nasal tip is made of medical grade silicone for a soft touch to the nose. The tip is designed to fit all noses, including children.

Who can use NäsaKleen Squeezie®?

Anyone 2 years or older can use Squeezie. Children ages 2-12 should not use Squeezie without parental supervision. For newborns or toddlers, we suggest the NeilMed® Baby NäsaKleen® Nasal Aspirator.

  • For your safety, do not use tap or faucet water for dissolving the mixture unless it has been previously boiled for 5 minutes or more as boiling sterilizes the water. Other choices are distilled, micro-filtered (through 0.2 micron), reverse osmosis filtered, or commercially bottled water. The saline solution should be at or close to body temperature. Once mixed, use the saline solution within 24 hours or discard.

Directions for Use

How to Use NäsaKleen Squeezie®

Three Easy Steps

Wash all parts of the Squeezie® before its first use. Follow the cleaning protocol below.

Squeezie - Nasal Irrigation - Add Salt

1. Empty 1 packet (1/2 teaspoon) of NeilMed® SINUS RINSE® salt into the Squeezie® bottle.

Squeezie- Nasal Irrigation - Shake

2. Fill the Squeezie® bottle with 8 oz./240ml (up to “Fill Line”) with distilled, micro-filtered (through 0.2 microns), commercially bottled or previously boiled or cooled down water at lukewarm or body temperature. Push the cap on tightly. Shake to properly mix the solution.

Squeezie - Nasal Irrigation - Rinse Nasal Passages

3. Stand (or sit) over a bathroom sink or use in the shower. Put the silicone tip against the nose so that it completely seals the nostril. Breathe normally through the mouth (or say aaaah…) and gently squeeze the bottle. Refrain from swallowing…when the saline solution reaches the back of the nasal cavities, the palate closes automatically by reflex. The saline fills the nasal cavities and proceeds to pour out the other nostril. Repeat this process twice for both nostrils. Use a tissue to blow out any remaining saline in your nose. Some of the saline can remain in the nose and trickle out later. Tilting your head forward and turning side to side immediately after flushing can prevent this.

Dosage
Use one full bottle (8oz/240mL) in each nostril per rinsing session. Rinse once or twice daily or as recommended by your doctor.

Cleaning

  1. Rinse the cap and device with running water.
  2. Fill the device half-way with distilled, micro-filtered (through 0.2 microns), commercially bottled and cooled down water at lukewarm or body temperature.
  3. Add a few drops of soap or baby shampoo.
  4. Attach the cap to the Squeezie device; hold your finger over the cap and shake vigorously.
  5. Squeeze the bottle to allow the soapy solution to clean the interior of the cap.
  6. Rinse the soap from the device and cap thoroughly and place the items on a clean paper towel to dry. Store in dry place.

We recommend that after you clean the device with soap and water, shake off the excess water and place the device and cap in the microwave for 40 to 60 seconds. This will disinfect the device and the cap.
